Alina Walker

Journalism Student

I am a third-year Journalism student at the University of Utah. Currently, I serve as the assistant news and internships editor at the Daily Utah Chronicle, and have been contributing as a writer for the last year. My main course of study, coupled with a minor in sociology, has fed my natural curiosity for the world around me. Since moving to Salt Lake from Bend, Oregon, I have loved learning more about my new home through a journalistic lens. If I'm not doing homework or editing for the Chronicle, I love to ski, hike, read and go to concerts!

Written Work

Below is a collection of my most notable written work. For the last two years I have worked with Amplify Utah, the Daily Utah Chronicle and Utah News Dispatch to cover a variety of topics.

Live Radio

During the 2025 Fall semester, I took a Voices Amplified course in which students partnered with KRCL and Amplify Utah to produce a weekly RadioACTive show. During that course I worked with a team to produce the show as a host, reporter and digital producer.
